Photos, like memories and stories, are part of our legacy. We hold them close, we pass them down. It’s a gift to be able to share a visual of moments, details, people, places and things to those we love, so that they, too, can feel even a glimmer of the joy we feel when we reflect on those times.
BABIES & CHILDREN- By displaying portraits of our children at different stages of their lives we are making the statement that you matter to us and we are proud of you. Portraits of children give them a sense of confidence and a sense of belonging. The children themselves will giggle over the super chubby baby photo or be reminiscent over photographs of themselves with their favourite pet. Photographs help to solidify memories for children and those memories can be passed on to future generations.
INDIVIDUALS- That legacy starts with us as individuals. First and foremost we should celebrate ourselves. Have you ever gone looking for a photograph of yourself or of an individual you love to realize how few if any that you have. You may find blurry phone photos or you in the midst of a group of people. I enjoy creating portraits of individuals and capturing the essence of who they are as individuals. These portrait sessions are fun and are designed to see yourself in a new light. Do something special for yourself. And for something extra special consider glamour photography. Glamour photography highlights beauty, sexiness, allure, dazzle and romance. I always have a consultation with my clients to find out what their goal of the portrait session is. Maybe it is a gift for a significant other or maybe its a challenge to work on self confidence. Grace and glamour is the goal.
COUPLES- Often when we think of couples photography we think of wedding portraits but there is so much more to couples that just the wedding day. Couples end up with piles of low quality selfies. Life gets chaotic and in the rush of our lives we often only photograph the milestones.It is important to celebrate your relationship. When it comes to photographs it is not only a bonding experience but you have a portrait hanging in your home to display as an expression of your love. Creating couple portraits is a fun memory you can look back with delight.
PETS- It is so important to capture the precious moments of our wonderful pets. I encourage families to bring their pets along for their portrait sessions but I also love focusing on just your pet. It allows for your pets personality to shine by capturing their story through unique and expressive photography.
